Skiing

I have been fortunate enough to ski most of my life and quickly fell in love with the sport and the mountains when I was young. At the age of 10 I discovered that it was possible to turn one of my favourite hobbies into a competitive sport and I subsequently started training several times a week on a dry ski slope. I went on to win the Under 12 and Under 14 National Dry Slope Championships with my team. I have also been on the podium for many other races later on in my skiing career, such as 3rd in the U16 SASA championships. I continue skiing at a competitive level until I was 17, competing internationally twice, but I took the very difficult decision to stop racing competitively in 2014 to focus on my academic commitments. I continue to ski recreationally with friends and family.
