Designed in an evening to turn a Dremel 3000 into a desk fan using simple, robust 3D-printed parts. Built during a London heatwave in late June 2020 — I chose to design and build over buying, due to missing next-day delivery, environmental concerns about manufacturing and waste, and budget constraints as a recent graduate. Designed in Fusion 360, with parts engineered to print without any support structures; the rotor blades have a complex top curve and a 40° rear overhang, compatible with a Prusa MK3S. The clamp mechanism uses M3 bolts and brass M3 inserts melted into the plastic to secure the Dremel tool.
